Environmental Management Policy
Hyperstream Limited recognises that our operations have an effect on the local, regional and global environment. Hyperstream ensures that all staff are trained in our environmental management policy and given guidance on its implementation. Hyperstream is committed to minimising the environmental impact and actively apply greener technologies in their day to day operations.
Hyperstream believe that businesses are responsible for achieving good environmental practice and need to operate in a sustainable manner. We are therefore committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improve on our environmental performance as an integral and fundamental part of our business strategy and operating methods.
The Company Director Alan Son is responsible for the overall implementation and monitoring of Environmental Management.
Current environmental regulations, laws and codes of practice will be regarded as setting the minimum standards of environmental performance such as Duty of Care Regulations.
Hyperstream current policy requires all members of staff to:
- Take action to reduce the carbon footprint of our business activities through ensuring that computer equipment whilst not in use is switched of at the end of the day, screen saver with power saving mode enabled.
Hyperstream’s procedure around waste management generated from our business operations is in accordance with the principles of reduction, re-use and recycling. We provide recycling facilities to employees and ensure that paper, cans, toners, glass bottles, batteries and any other products that are recyclable are being recycled.
Hyperstream ensures that non recyclable waste is being disposed of in a responsible manner, ensuring that we always comply with the Duty of Care Regulations.
Hyperstream gives due consideration to environmental issues and energy performance in the design of their business, i.e. Hyperstream uses energy efficient software in which Open Source software is playing a major part in providing more efficient solutions, saving energy. The computer suite has been designed in view of being energy efficient i.e. all computers, printer and scanners and other electrical equipment are currently fitted in with intelligent plugs to cut unnecessary energy pollution and save electricity. Additionally Hyperstream encourages use of electronic communication whenever possible and cut down on travel. Most of our monitoring and project management systems are set up in the way that they can be viewed online to reduce the need for paper.
Hyperstream implemented measures to help the business and its employees to use ‘green transport’, for example, provided a pooled facility for cyclists, purchase and use of electric bike, car sharing, and encouraging staff to use public transport to reduce CO2 emissions.
Hyperstream ensures it is compliant with environmental laws and regulations and monitors and reviews the environmental policy to reduce the carbon footprint.
To ensure that Hyperstream meets the above commitments, we:
Communicate the importance of environmental issues to our staff and other businesses we are provide services.
Work together with our employees, service partners, suppliers, to promote improved environmental performance.
Promote appropriate consideration of sustainability and environmental issues in the services we provide to our clients.
Research new trends, sustainable designs and look at ways of application in our business plan.
Review environmental policies and performance on a regular basis and allocate resources for their effective direction and implementation.
This statement represents our general position on environmental issues, and the policies and practices we apply in conducting our business.
