Our 3D Modeling Process Explained
You may be wondering how we do it? Here is the process we usually follow when building most of our Architectural 3D models. This is based on our interior rendering process.
Initial Briefing Process
- You send us 2D AutoCAD drawings, scanned hard copies or even hand drawings along with the accurate dimensions, floor plans, elevations, sections, standards and specifications.
- All files received from you are first scrutinized and assessed. We may seek clarification from you to avoid unnecessary delay and rework.
- We then send you a quote.
- On your approval, agreed deposit is payable at start of project.
Our Production Workflow
Sometimes it is useful to know more details of how we go about creating the model to give you an idea of what things you may need to provide before asking for a quote. Our production workflow is as follows:
- After receiving 2D Drawings these are imported into our 3D Modelling software.
- The designer starts by modeling the basic shell of the room or building ,inserting windows and doorways, floors and ceiling.
- Furniture from our library is then placed into the model.
- Virtual cameras are setup for each shot / sequence. (if client has marked angle of view on plan then setup cameras from this information.
- At this stage low quality test images will be sent to the client to finalize angles of view or camera animation path.
- Textures and materials are now applied (client may specify what colors and textures are used on the model)
- Standard daylight lighting will be used unless otherwise specified by client.
- Finished model with Textures and Lighting is processed through Render Engine to produce final images and sent to the client.
- If animation is involved this is further processed into video editing package to create montage based on agreed storyboard.
