Campaign for True Democracy

As the British General election nears closer and voter apathy seems to be rampant from the aftermath of the expenses scandal. I have been left wondering how could the government implement a true democratic system and restore some faith in the political system?

Lots of people currently use the Internet to do all kinds of things online. We pay our tax, bills, and some find true love. So why can’t we vote online?

Here’s the idea

The government should create a facebook style social networking website where all kinds of things can be discussed and more importantly voted on. I would be interested to find out if any local councils have already implemented such a system and I wonder what the effects of that something like this has been on the local community?

My first post from my Google Android phone

I finally got round to installing the WordPress application for my Gphone. Now I can blog about things on the move, or just when I feel like being antisocial at parties.

Dolphin 7 Community Software

I first looked at Dolphin about one year ago, even then I had a suspicion that it was going to become a big player. I am glad to see the project moving forward. It will be interesting to see how this solution compares with BuddyPress.

The MikroKopter is the coolest thing I have seen this year

The potential for something like this is amazing. I am thinking of building one for doing some aerial photography.

We already have a website Why do we need a new one?

In the old days (that’s 10 years ago in Web Design terms)

Web design has changed. In the old days you use to have to know a whole load of HTML even to get something simple online. Most of us have one simple requirement, we want to publish our content online ourselves without having to call a web developer to add or change some content on our website.

HyperStream are not loyal to technology. We like change. When a better way of doing something presents itself we usually adopt that technology and are always open to new ideas, this is part of our ethos. This is why we currently build 80% of our websites using WordPress. Simply put this is one of the best open source publishing platforms available today and something of a revolution in content management and publishing.

How can we help?

  1. Review your website
  2. Suggest improvements
  3. Refresh your design
  4. Install feedback system to gain valuable customer information
  5. Integrate a Content Management System that is suitable for your company
  6. Implement a web marketing strategy and bespoke marketing campaign
  7. Build a professional blog to complement your existing website
  8. Track and Analyse your visitors
  9. Edit and publish online video and integrate into your website
  10. Bring you more business

Tell us what you want. We are ready to listen.

Gobbledygook generator

Enjoy! Please never use this type of language in your documents. It is just for fun.

Here’s my sample of meaningless drivel.

Forward-looking companies invest in three-dimensional administrative alignment.”

junk

Please tell me if you ever find any gobbledygook on this website. It is easy to get wrapped up in your industry’s own language and make things difficult to understand without even realizing it.

New Rules of Marketing and PR

The New Rules of Marketing

The New Rules of Marketing

I recently finished reading The New Rules of Marketing & PR by David Meerman Scott. Thanks for the great advice and information David. I will start to implementing some of these ideas in my own website.

You should read this if  you would like to learn more about how to use:

  • News Releases
  • Blogs
  • Podcasting
  • Viral Marketing
  • Online Media
  • Social Media

The book does not go into detail about the technology (that’s our job), but does provide great advice on how to use online tools to reach buyers directly by creating compelling content.

A highly recommended read for anyone who is looking to improve their online marketing. 10/10

Play videos from your computer on your TV

The method for getting video content from your computer to your TV all depends on your current setup.  Tversity now at version 1.7 has come along way since its initial release.

What Tversity essentially allows you to do is stream video from your computer to a number of devices such as XBOX, PS3, and WII. Using the network availability of these consoles video is streamed across your home or office local network.

In addition to allowing you to watch video on your TV, it can also stream audio, and load your photos. The only downside to this solution is that both your computer and console needs to be switched on.
